The MBBR Technology

The MBR is a technology that integrates the bacterial growth with the membrane ultrafiltration system. Those are immersed in the aeration basin in a direct contact with the wastewater to be treated.

The advantages of MBR technology are:

- Higher effluent quality

• Low concentration of SS, COD, BOD, nitrogen and phosphorus in exit
• No bacterial (membranes replace sedimentation, filtration e disinfection)
• The effluent quality is not affected by bulking, roaming or floating

- Reduced planimetric obstruction due to the high concentration of sludge - Modular installation, particularly suitable for the existing facilities upgrading.
